In the introduction to CKAN we looked at how to publish static data. This course is about how to set up harvesters. Harvesters can pull data from different sources and publish them on CKAN. Harvesters can run and update datasets in CKAN so that traffic counters and other IoT-related data becomes available as Open Data. CKAN portals can also be set up to harvest metadata and data from other CKAN portals.
