Smart Cities Norway want to facilitate the development and sharing of ideas from small businesses and startups in Norway. During the event Arendalsuka in August this year, we organised a pitch contest for smart city solutions, where the winner was Julia Wei Cai and the invention Oslobike.
Exchange of experience between cities and municipalities, as well as across borders, is crucial if we are to develop smart, sustainable and livable cities. Earlier this week, we entered a cooperation agreement with our sister organization in Slovakia. Now, we are entering a partnership with the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.
The solutions to the challenges can be shared cross borders.
We belive in a open market and that solutions developed in other countries can be used in Norway. And that solutions developed in Norway can be used in other countries.

Two-thirds of global population will live in cities by 2050. It is a global challenge and a global opportunity. We all share the same Sustainable Development Goals and we belive that challenges that municipalities in Norway have are much the same as municipalities have in other countries.
